Dear Patients

Dear Patients

first of all, we would like to inform you that our medical practices remain open since 01.11.2020, as part of the critical medical care. We follow the corresponding guidelines for dental and medical practices, which are laid down in the hygiene plan, the recommendations of the Commission for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention at the RKI "Infektionsprävention in der Heilkunde - Anforderungen an die Hygiene" and the Technical Rule for Biological Agents (TRBA 250).

Due to the very high hygiene standards common in medical practices, the risk of infection is demonstrably lower and you do not have to worry about a risk of infection during your treatment.

What you need to know as a patient

If you plan to seek medical treatment in the next few days, please be sure to follow the recommendations below, which are graded according to the potential risks:

  1. You feel healthy:

    • You have not been to a high-risk area in the past two weeks (see current domestic and international information) and have no symptoms of influenza (cough, runny nose, scratchy throat, fever, if any): Treatment is possible without any problems.
  2. You feel sick or have symptoms of influenza:

    • All dental treatments that can be postponed should be avoided.
    • Do not come to the clinic unannounced. Not even if you have already made an appointment or if it is an emergency. In these cases, be sure to call the practice beforehand, and they will discuss everything else with you (possible rescheduling, etc.).
  3. You have tested positive for the coronavirus or are in quarantine:

    • Please cancel all scheduled appointments by phone.
    • Do not come to the clinic unannounced. Not even if you have already made an appointment or if it is an emergency. In these cases, be sure to call the practice beforehand, and they will discuss everything else with you.

The best and easiest way to avoid transmission, as with "normal" flu is to follow the basic rules of general infection prevention: avoid physical contact (shaking hands, etc.), keep your distance from those around you and avoid large gatherings of people. Sneeze or cough into the crook of your arm and throw used tissues into a lidded wastebasket immediately after use. Wash your hands thoroughly several times a day and avoid touching your face, air the rooms in your home at regular intervals.

Further, continuously updated information can be found on the websites of the RKI (www.rki.de), the Federal Ministry of Health (www.bundesgesundheitsministerium.de), the Federal Center for Health Education (www.bzga.de), and via the hotline at 0800 5554666.

Hygiene in our medical or dental practices

Doctors' offices have always been subject to high standards of hygiene. These are regularly controlled and demonstrably carried out by our practice. In addition, we have increased the frequency of disinfection of the waiting area.

We follow the relevant guidelines for medical practices, which are set out in the hygiene plan, the recommendations of the Commission for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention at the RKI "Infection Prevention in Medicine - Hygiene Requirements" and the Technical Rule for Biological Agents (TRBA 250).

We also strive to minimize patient encounters in our waiting room. In addition, we measure the temperature of each patient upon entering the practice rooms without contact via an infrared thermometer.

All rooms in our medical practice are regularly cleaned, ventilated and disinfected according to strict hygiene regulations. For your safety, the attending physicians and assistants wear disposable gloves as well as mouth-nose protection during treatment.

All equipment that comes into direct contact with you as a patient will be sterilized as usual before each treatment.
